Founded in Paris in 1945 by Pierre Balmain, the House of Balmain has been a beacon of French elegance and couture craftsmanship for nearly 80 years. Pierre Balmain believed that "dressmaking is the architecture of movement"—a philosophy that continues to guide the Maison today.
In 2025, Antonin Tron was appointed as Balmain's new Creative Director. His approach to design, rooted in the art of draping and the physicality of fabric, marks a natural continuation of Pierre Balmain's vision. Like the founder, Antonin sees fashion as a spatial art, building around the human form with precision and emotion.
